To use the "oldsky" rendering mode (T1) which is just stars with no Celestial objects or clouds, use the following settings (Default):

To use the NewSky Stars, use the following settings:

  • Menu > Editors > Mission Parameters > Sky Rendering Mode: Stars
  • Menu > Editors > Mission Parameters > NewSky:Sky
    • Enable New Sky: TRUE
    • Enable Fog: FALSE
    • Atmosphere radius: greater than Earth Radius -- 2,55000
    • Earth Radius: 1 or more -- 1,54000
    • # of latitude points: 3
    • # of longitude points: 3
    • Horizon dip angle: 90 or greater -- 100 or more if the player will see over outside walls(Hall of Mirrors)
    • Pole color: 0,0,0 -- these are not important for just stars
    • 45 degree color: 0,0,0
    • 70 degree color: 0,0,0
    • Horizon color: 0,0,0
    • Horizon dip color: 0,0,0
    • Glow color: 0,0,0
    • Glow latitude: 0
    • Glow longitude: 0
    • Glow angle: 0
    • Glow scale: 0
    • Glow method: Sum
    • Clip latitude: 0 -- can be 0-90 if player never sees straight up(Hall of Mirrors)
  • Menu > Editors > Mission Parameters > NewSky:Stars
    • Enable Stars: TRUE
    • Enable Fog: FALSE
    • Star Density: 1 -- The number of stars(0-1): .5=~50, .75=~hundreds, 1=~almost 1000, "oldsky ~.6"
    • Star Offset: 0 -- (0-inf) will make stars only appear near the Horizon
    • Max Sky Intensity: 1 (0-1) Max brightness of the stars

Only visible in game mode.
