Julian Friehalt was the Commissioner of Taxes for The Baron. He once wrote a letter to Lord Bafford warning him about his failure to pay taxes on all of his income. Bafford had not paid income tax on any of the profits from his gambling dens, thinking they were secret, but Friehalt was aware of these gambling dens and threatened Bafford by reminding him of Lord Brynveran, who had previously been punished for similar actions.
