The small yellow spiders also known as Sewer Spiders have abdomens about the size of a human head, white legs, and have a painful, but somewhat weak bite. To compensate for their individual weakness, they often travel in groups, usually two or three at a time, but are very easily killed, having only a single hit point. Thus, they can be dispatched with any weapon, ranged or melee, even when alerted. When attacking Garrett, they are capable of jumping up and biting the top of his head. The spider can be eliminated in the following ways:

*Green Spider

*Chaos Spider
* Broadhead Arrow – takes only one exact shot at all times

  +
*Albino Spider (cut)
* Sword – it takes only one exact hit to kill this spider at all times, though it is still hard to aim for this little critter. When the spider is close, you need to aim almost directly down in order to hit it.

The green spiders, also known as huge spiders, are the largest, standing around the height of a human's waist. They have black legs, green speckled skin, and have a much more severe bite than the yellow spiders. It takes several sword strikes to kill one, or three fully pulled broadhead arrows. If it has not been alerted though, it can be killed with one shot. They can be killed in the following ways:

* Backstab – kills a spider with a single swing

* Broadhead Arrow – one shot from a stealth position

* Sword - It takes several swipes from the sword to kill it, but the sword can block the spider's attacks

Chaos Spiders
The red Chaos Spiders, or SpiderBeasts, are slightly smaller than the green ones, but are far more dangerous. They can spit balls of webbing at the player from a distance, which can immobilize the player long enough to get several deadly attacks in, including purple energy "magic missile" shots. When alerted, it takes about six fully pulled arrows to kill one, or one arrow when alerted. Fortunately, even an alerted chaos spider can be dispatched using a gas mine or arrow. Keep the following in mind when confronting Chaos Spiders:

* Broadhead Arrow – one shot from a stealth position will kill it

* Fire Arrow or Gas Arrow – pretty effective

* Sword - very dangerous. It takes several swipes from the sword to kill it, and the sword cannot block the spider's attacks

DromEd Spiders

Spider species (from left to right): Yellow sewer Spider, Green huge Spider and Chaos Spider.

Spiders are one of the most common enemies found when exploring caves and underground areas. In the inhabited areas of The City they are somewhat scarce, as they are usually exterminated on sight. But in the sewers and deep underground, they are far more common, and come in three varieties, all of them venomous.

OriginalSpiderBeast

The original spider beast, the albino.

Since spiders don't count towards any of the "Don't kill anyone" objectives, the best option is to kill them from a distance with broadhead arrows in a single shot, or with gas arrows and mines for large groups. They can be a most terrifying threat to any player who is arachnophobic.
