I feel that we should consider collecting and uploading all of the linked files here. .Zip isn't on Wikia's list of allowed file extensions, I guess, since I can't imagine the actual file types are checked. Maybe we could apply for .crf for the Thief Wiki (cf. the Doom example.)? --Larris 06:12, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

It says right on the page you linked to that "HTML and ZIP files" may not be uploaded for security reasons. There is also a 6MB file size limit. The only wiki that lets you upload all kinds of files is I think. --Sxerks 17:01, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I know. The question was whether a hypothetical MediaWiki upload would work if the extensions could be changed. To .crf, for instance. Or one could even repackage the files to another compression form. Size would likely still be a problem, though. --Larris 01:01, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
crf files are just renamed zip files. The thing wikia is looking at is whether or not an EXE or some other malicious program "can be" put in these archives. size would be a problem for large collections like the EP or COSAS, maybe not if individually packaged. --Sxerks 01:27, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
