So is the eye a character? Big McLargeHuge

It sure is! :D Ehcmier 13:51, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Ehcmier

...and an item, but not exactly equipment. Hmh. Larris 14:46, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
The Fake Eye is equipment, though! :p According to canon, The Eye answers to no one and goes where it wills. Garrett is just the transport...well, almost. It is more character than anything, and Garrett doesn't get much for all his troubles until the very end, unless he really likes his mechanical eye. After six missions trying to get it, he doesn't get his monetary compensation, and gets traumatised. You know I could go on and on about The Eye, so maybe I shouldn't be involved with this topic, heh heh. Ehcmier 15:23, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Ehcmier

T1 Eye 3D Model[]

The T1/TG image is strikingly different than the T3 version, which made unusual changes to the ORIGINAL. The Originals trump the remakes, and should be included, expecially from the briefings, which are near photorealistic. It is not "obsolete". The point, too, is not only to show-off the objects, in detail, but to allow for close inspection and make them visually identifiable, as many objects are in motion, in darkness, small, or distant. The images should show the objects off, in both engines. Ehcmier 04:26, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier

+1 to that. It's not even a question of redundancy. The Thief Wiki is among other things a repository, an attempt to collect and display all Thief info there is. Ancient and recent, obscure and well-known. Very, very little should be deemed obsolete IMO, and certainly nothing that was actually published by LGS.
Now, maybe for the sake of layout (and in the absence of more text to flesh out the article) it'd be better to make a Wiki <gallery> of available Eye pictures near the bottom of the article? --Larris 13:47, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Good idea! I'll restore it. -- Drtomjenkins 15:13, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Pic Overlapping[]

Looks like the one pic of the eye on the left is overlapping some text. Not sure if this is just my browser or not so if anyone else sees this then it needs fixed. Displacer 02:24, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

I noticed it on my browser as well but I corrected it at the time of addition by adding some line breaks after the quoted text. You may try an alternate solution. I just tested it, and it works fine the latest versions of all major browsers (FF/IE/OP) -- Drtomjenkins 23:26, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Well this is bizzare, it looked good until I revisited the page, then it was back to the old form, is the wiki reformatting it or is my browser (firefox) doing it? Displacer 02:07, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
The width of the browser window affects it in my case. It looks okay with a narrower window, but I get the overlap with a maximised window, or more than two-thirds of my screen width at 1680 px. Unless there's another option, the content may have to be set to a maximum of 960 px, or whatever the upper limit is before the content goes wonky. Ehcmier 02:16, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Ehcmier
I'm looking at it in FF2.0,3.0, IE7 and the text wraps around the image as I resize the window. In IE6 the page looks like crap, grrr. Might have something to do with width, ADs, or CSS. --Sxerks 03:17, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Wrapping confirmed with resizing and page zooming in Google Chrome beta 2.0.169.1 and Opera 9.64 as well. There actually was some overlapping in Chrome, but only with the Wikia highlight ad buttons at the bottom of the page, which didn't happen in Opera. I'd think this would happen to Safari users, too. Of course, when a user is not logged in, the right-corner ad box tends to mess up everything anyway.
Optimising for IE6 shouldn't be performed anymore as far as I'm concerned, and that's my official political view. My country recently declared war on IE6. (Fact.) --Larris 11:42, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Strange that it looks perfect in my IE7 and Opera9 too. -- Drtomjenkins 23:02, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Corrected, finally. Change the location of the gallery if you don't like it. -- Drtomjenkins 04:50, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
