The River is an unnamed river which runs through the centre east side of The City and out to the ocean. It acts as a dividing line between the main city and Auldale. It has three main known crossing points, one at the far east of the Docks, one in the Old Quarter near Stonemarket, and one in Stonemarket.
Due to a devastating drought during the time around the first Dark age, the River was known to become very shallow in places and at one time, gave a path near Shalebridge which could be waded across.[1]

- Due to a number of reasons, no detailed map of the City was created and there are a few issues with exact locations of features. This has lead to confusion with the Large river shown in the Keepers Elemental Talismen map, the Large River shown in the some cutscenes in TDP/TG and T2. This may or may not be the same River, or a stream branch of the River.
