Thorburn is a member of the upper class who is trying to gain favour with the Mechanists. His initial attempt of endearing himself to them with exotic plants met with failure and he tasked his servant, Jerome, with finding out what Karras wanted.[1] He later sent in two crates of tin ore and received a set of Clockwork Spy Cameras in return.[2]
